Hello class. Today we will begin with a cheering potion. As always, the instructions are on the blackboard. The supply closet was recently restocked so don't say that we are out of something or I personally will make certain you get detention.
Potion's Black Board
Cheering Potion
Ingredients:
Fire mint
2 pieces Mandrake root
½ a Trolls finger, crushed
Petrified Fairy's Tears
Moonflower
Water
Your favorite power stone
Small power stones
Instructions:
Measure out a 3/4 a cup of water and put it in your cauldron. Add the mandrake root and 1/4 tsp scoop of fire mint. Stir. Put in two pinches moonflower at the same time as three fairy's tears. Bring to a boil, and then simmer for one minute. Remove from the flames. Next, add a 1/8 teaspoon scoop of small power stones and your favorite power stone. To mix, add another 3/4 cup of water. You now have a cheering potion! Smell it to lift your spirits. After you are done with the potion, fish out the power stone-it can be used again, strain out the large hunks and throw them away and pour the rest of the potion down the drain.
Alright class. Your time is up. Please bottle some of your potion for grading and bring that bottle and the cloth up. Your homework is below.

We will be returning to the pumpkins today. I have put a darkening spell around them so that you can see them in their splendor. Follow me please!
There they are. You can see the glowing outline of where you cut. Today your jobs will be to remove the cut sections. Obviously, you will not be using the same knives as last time! These pumpkins are six feet tall after all. To remove the pieces, take these sheets of metal and wedge it into one of the cracks. You should start at the bottom. Slide the metal in and press on the edge. The piece should start to move. Do this on all sides, until the piece slides out.
Now that everyone has a piece out, I want you to climb in. The pumpkin is hollow, and remarkably dry, so you don't have to get all slimy. Climb in and push on all the pieces until they come out.
Once your pieces are out, use the levitating spell that Professor Flitwick taught you. Levitate the pieces and move them over to that compost pile. Class time is almost over, so you should hurry.
Time is up, class! Later I will put a preserving spell on these fine pumpkins so that they will stay firm until the feast. See you next class.

Because I do not know if all of you know the history of Hogwarts, that is what we will be studying next, starting with the four founders.
Godric Gryffindor was one of the most accomplished dueller of his time and the original owner of the Sorting Hat. He supported letting muggles into Hogwarts. He had a famous enemity with Salazar Slytherin. His house is championed as brave.
Salazar Slytherin, who was a parselmouth. Salazar did not like the idea of letting muggles learn with the magical students. His house is cunning and persistant.
Rowena Ravenclaw was the wisest witch of her time. She chose the students who had a ready wit and loved learning.
Helga Hufflepuff was accepting of anyone, and treated them equally. She prized the traits of loyalty and being unafraid of toil.
Homework: Go to JK Rowling's site and find the pictures of each founder. Also, write a report on the founder of your house.
